This is a superb torrent I grabbed from another tracker. I cannot express to you just how beautiful it is. Needless to say, you have to like pedal steel guitar to appreciate it. Some of the tracks are solo, some are with a band (some with drums, some not), some dual steels. From the original info text file (which is included): "In honor of Jerry Moore - Dedicated to working dudes everywhere" SBD stereo master recording was taped, transferred, and remastered by Monte Barry. Source: SBD stereo mix > Nakamichi 550 portable cassette recorder w/ Dolby NR > Nakamichi Chromium Dioxide 90-minute cassettes Lineage: MC > Nakamichi 550 > Lexicon Alpha 24-bit / 48 khz > USB > Samplitude 24-bit / 48 khz > 16-bit / 44.1 khz > TLH > Flac > SBE fixed notes: I used battery-power for Nak 550 transfer to eliminate all hum and ground loops title info above is all that exists on my original cassette liner notes pedal steel convention was an annual event in St Louis in 1976 when I went there there are some track cuts and a few SBD cuts, dropouts and level shifts some recordings I paused on-the-fly other times I left tape rolling a little bit abrupt cuts are cleaned up and cross-faded tracks are normalized to improve audio level continuity track changes are seamless. enjoy this beautiful American-heritage treasure immaculate dynamic range and analog sound -- produced in studio quality" I have included an updated set-list, below, which is more complete than the one in the original info text file. Individual track times are in the original info file. I have chosen to break the tracks out by disc. As you will see in the original info file, Monte broke them out by tape (2 tapes) and side. Either way, the tracks themselves remain the same. I have identified all of the tracks I can. If you know the names of any of the others, please PM me and I will add them. One more thing: Please note that, as always, I am simply the messenger. All thanks go to Monte Barry (aka Monte the Taper) and, of course, all of the musicians and those who put on this wonderful event. A very humble "thank you!" from sal to one and all. Steel players include Jimmy Day, Curly Chalker, Buddy Emmons, Lloyd Green, Wally Murphy, Ron Elliot, Weldon Myrick, Russ Hicks and Jimmy Crawford.
